Close up nature photography lets you look into a world that most people never notice. It can be very satisfying to make images of the insides of flowers, or patterns of lichen on a rock, or a drop of water, or even, yes, scary spiders.
But close up photography requires careful technique and some specialized (though not necessarily expensive) equipment.
